YOUR INFORMATION

Privacy
policy.

How AirGate handles information on this website and in the upcoming app. Written to be read, not skimmed.

Who we
are.

Upcoming AirGate app

The AirGate app is coming soon and is not publicly available. The following app-specific information describes planned features; website data handling is explained separately below.

What the app collects,
and why.

Your account. Name, email address and phone number, so we can confirm bookings, tell you who your driver is, and let your driver reach you on the day.

Your trips. Pickup and drop-off addresses, dates and times, flight number, passenger count, and any notes you add. This is the booking itself.

Fares we showed you. When the app shows you a fixed fare for an area, we record which fare was shown and whether you went on to book, so we can see whether our pricing is working. This is tied to your account and used for nothing else.

Your location — passengers. When you place a pin on the map to set a pickup or drop-off point, the app uses your device location if you allow it. We store the point you chose, not your movements.

Your location — drivers. While a trip is running, the driver's location is shared with their passenger so the passenger can see the car approaching. It is collected only during a live trip and stops automatically when the trip ends.

Messages. Messages you send to your driver, or your driver sends to you, through the app.

Driver documents. Drivers upload licence and insurance documents so we can verify them. Passengers never see these.

Device token for notifications. So we can tell you when your driver is assigned, has confirmed, or has set off.

What we do
not collect.

We do not take card payments in the app and do not store card numbers — you pay your driver directly. We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not use your trip details for personalized advertising. Optional website ad measurement is described below.

Who can
see what.

Your driver sees your name, your phone number only while the trip is live, your pickup and drop-off, flight details and your messages. You see your driver's name, photo, car and plate, and their live location during the trip. AirGate sees bookings in order to run them.

Where it
is kept.

Your data is stored with our cloud database provider, Supabase, protected by row-level security so that each account can only read its own records. Data travels encrypted.

How long
we keep it.

Trip records are kept for as long as Canadian tax and accounting rules require, then deleted. Messages and driver location records are kept only as long as needed to run and support the trip.

Deleting
your account.

You can delete your account yourself in the app: Account → Delete my account. This removes your personal details and signs you out everywhere. Trip records we are legally required to keep are anonymised so they no longer identify you.

Children.

AirGate accounts are for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Your
rights.

Under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA) you can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw consent. Email [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days.

This
website.

Planning a fare. When you request an address-based quote, the address is sent to our fare service to identify the location and calculate the estimate. Location lookup may use a mapping provider. A displayed estimate does not reserve a car.

Sending a request. When you submit the planner or contact form, the name, phone number, optional email and trip details or message you enter are sent to AirGate and stored in our Supabase database. The request includes its source page, a browser identifier (user agent) and a hashed network-address identifier used to limit abuse. Our email provider, Resend, may process the request to notify AirGate and send an acknowledgement. A request can be stored even when an email notification is delayed or unavailable. An acknowledgement or request reference is not a booking confirmation.

Where an enquiry came from. When you accept optional measurement, we keep the first page of the current visit, the referring website domain and permitted campaign tags in this tab’s session storage. The context is reused across site pages for up to 30 minutes of inactivity and attached to a new booking or contact request in Supabase and the internal AirGate email alert. It contains no customer form values, full referring URLs, search terms or advertising click-ID values. Referrers can be missing and campaign tags are not verified evidence of an advertisement click. Declining measurement below clears this context and prevents its collection for new requests.

Optional alternatives. Text and email links open your own messaging app, where you decide whether to send. Copying or downloading a trip summary is also your choice. The planner does not store your contact details in browser storage.

Tracking a booking. The reference and email you enter on the tracking page are sent to us to locate the trip. Access attempts are recorded to help prevent guessing. A successful lookup gives your browser a temporary key lasting 45 minutes, cleared when the tab closes. Tracking access ends a day after the trip finishes.

Our website host, Cloudflare, may process standard access logs. Service providers process information to deliver these functions. To ask about information submitted through the website, or request access, correction or deletion, contact [email protected].

Changes.

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will publish the updated policy on this page before it takes effect.

Optional analytics and ad measurement

With your permission, Google Analytics measures visits, button interactions and successful enquiry submissions. Google Ads can use advertising click identifiers and these events to measure which ads lead to trip requests and improve bidding. Optional measurement cookies are used only after you accept. Personalized advertising and remarketing remain off.

We do not include your name, email, phone number, trip address or booking reference in these measurement events. Booking works if you decline. Your choice is saved in this browser, and you can change it here at any time. Declining stops future optional measurement and clears this website’s Analytics and ad-measurement cookies; it does not erase data already processed by Google.
